Village Vanguard is a bookstore chain operated by Village Vanguard Co., Ltd. in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The concept behind the stores is "Exciting Book Stores." They first opened in Nagoya in 1986 and have a unique style. They now have over 350 branches across Japan, which is quite impressive. Village Vanguard stores are mostly located within department stores. For example, I've seen the "Rich Man" store at AEON stores many times.
