Ise Jingu is located in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Ise Jingu has a long history and is a shrine that Japanese people must visit in their lifetime. The order of worship should be the outer palace and the inner palace first. This time, due to time constraints, it is a pity that only the inner palace was visited.
transportation
If you take public transportation, you can walk to the outer palace from "Ise" station, and then walk back to "Ise" station to take the 51 or 55 bus system to reach the inner palace after visiting.
If you drive by yourself, there are many paid parking lots near the Jingu Shrine. You can refer to the parking information on the official website of Ise Jingu Shrine to avoid disappointment.

It was Sunday, and I arrived at about 11 am. I was lucky. I stopped at the No. 2 parking lot next to the river embankment in the picture below, but it takes about 30 minutes to walk from the No. 2 parking lot to the inner palace of Ise Shrine (the orange box in the picture below) – 40 minutes, the distance is quite far, so if the rich man thinks it is possible, try to park in the No. 1 or No. 2 parking lot, otherwise he may exhaust his leg strength today.
Pay attention to the payment method of the parking lot. The parking fee is paid in cash by the machine at the gate when leaving the parking lot, so it is paid by one car and one wheel, so there is a long queue at once, and it takes about 30 minutes to drive out of the parking lot Well, it wasted a lot of time, but it happened to be able to eat Akafuku red bean mochi and fish board bought in Tofu Yokocho in the car (laughs).
The scenery along the river is also very beautiful. Behind the bridge in the distance is the No. 2 parking lot. The photo below was taken on the bridge next to TOEFL Yokocho.
The Japanese-style house in front is Tofu Yokocho Old Street.
TOEFL Yokocho
There are many famous specialty shops and snack bars in Tofu Yokocho in front of Ise Jingu Shrine. There is a Chifu with a big side and a long queue here, but! Not far from the entrance of the inner palace, there is also a small shop of Chifu (similar to a pop-up store?) that you can buy. If you see it, you can save some time in queuing. If you don’t have time to buy at Ise Shrine, you can wait until you return to JR Nagoya Takashimaya at Nagoya Station to buy. For detailed information on Nagoya souvenirs, please refer toMust-buy souvenirs in NagoyaThis article.
The queue of people by the bridge in the lower left corner of the picture below is a row of red blessings, a lot of people.
The old street is full of people, and every shop seems to have been passed down for generations, and they all look pretty good. Before visiting the shrine, I passed by Tofu Yokocho, so I ate a very delicious fish plate first. (But not Wakamatsuya), Omi beef kebabs and croquettes. After visiting the shrine, the legs were a bit sore, and then I ate Fukusuke's Ise udon noodles. The taste was very good, and I recommend it.
Ise Grand Shrine
There are not many toilets in Ise Jingu Shrine. It is recommended to go there when you encounter them. There are no toilets near the inner shrine. Be careful, and avoid making a big circle.
The torii at the entrance to the inner palace of Ise Shrine, don't forget to bow when entering and exiting.
The landscaping along the way is very Japanese-style and very solemn. There are small stone roads that rustle along the road. It is recommended to wear a pair of thicker shoes for better walking. The trees in the shrine are also very beautiful. Maosheng has a very good sunshade function. When there is no sunshine in Nagoya in December, the temperature is only about 5 degrees. It is really cold and warm.
On the way to worship, you will first pass through Isuzugawa Mitaraiba. The rich man saw many people wash their hands here before visiting.
I finally reached the Amaterasu Grand Palace in the inner palace, but it is forbidden to take pictures inside, so let's take a picture of the entrance.

The product sales department and the resting place for worshipers sell different shrine goods. There are actually a few live chickens in the resting place for worshipers. It may be related to the chicken god bells that are being sold. The rich man suggests that you can do both Go and have a look, this time I bought the Jingu Bell God Chicken and the golden bell. I hope that the new year will be safe and sound for everyone, and everyone will have a good start and a new atmosphere (laughs).
