The Gwangmyeong Cave is located in an underground cave in Gwangmyeong-dong, Seoul, which used to be a mine. After mining activities ceased in 2011, the pit was converted into a tourist attraction and reopened in 2012. The total length of the Guangming Cave is about 5.8 kilometers, but only a small part can be walked. There are many different themes in the Guangming Cave. Visitors can explore the history and culture of the Guangming Cave and taste red wine in these areas.
transportation
The original plan was to take subway line 2 from "Xuanling" station (English: Seolleung, Korean: 선릉) to subway line 1 to "Guangming" station, and then take "77" bus to Bright Cave. But in fact, there are relatively few trains to the "Gwangmyeong" station. The station staff said that there is only one train per hour, so the wealthy family got off at the "Gimcheon District Office" station (Korean: 금천구청역) on Line 1 in advance, and then went to Take a taxi directly outside the subway station to the Guangming Cave. The taxi fare can be referred tothis article.
The road is a little slope but it is still flat and easy to walk. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the entrance of Guangming Cave.
After going up the mountain, you will see some small shops, but today is Wednesday, and there are not many customers, so only one shop is open. Here comes the important point, only the store area has toilets, remember to use it before entering the cave, otherwise you will be tired from walking around (laughs).
Map of Guangming Cave Park.
Walk another 70 meters and you will be there, huh~
I saw the hole, but! The blue automatic ticket vending machine next to it cannot accept credit cards issued in Taiwan, so I had to go to the manual ticket office next to it to buy (laughs).
Facing the left hand side of the cave entrance, about 100 meters away, you can buy tickets manually here.
Tickets for adults are 6,000 and children are 2,000. Other combined tickets with VR are also sold. Some attractions or museums in Korea (such asSeoul Children's Museum) will combine tickets for multiple people into one, or even charge no tickets (such asWar Memorial of Korea), reduce paper waste, the rich man thinks it is very environmentally friendly, give it a thumbs up!
Attractions
Finally back to the entrance of Guangming Cave again, ready to go!
Entering the cave, you first entered the wind path. There were really gusts of wind blowing over, and the temperature inside the cave was lower than outside. If you are afraid of the cold, you should bring a coat to avoid catching a cold.
Long flat walkways.
On one side of the road are photos of the past history of the cave. It turns out that the cave was once a mine, and was once used to store shrimp paste pickles after it was abandoned (laughs).
The colorful layout brings a different feeling to this originally dark mine pit. Welcome to the fantasy world of Avatar (laughs).
kinda like nagoyaNabana no Satotunnels of light, but tunnels under caverns,
The staff asked us to wait here for a while, there will be a light show later! I didn't expect there to be a light show in the cave, which is really special. The light is projected on the stone in the image below. Replenish! Luckily, I didn’t go up the stairs in the picture below. After watching the light show, I was guided to the aquarium area by the staff (laughs).
The light show begins! The rocks in the cave have turned blue-green!
More Seoul attractions to share
Finally, it ends with gorgeous fireworks. It's really well done and gorgeous.
Then I came to the cave aquarium, which was really special. I didn't expect to see fish in the cave (laughs).
The glittering golden road is bright and golden, and I feel that if I walk in, I will have a good fortune and make a fortune.
I'm going to start walking up the stairs, trembling stairs! The good insurance is only 163 steps, which is quite easy to go, but families with elders should use their own ability.
Some other bling aquascapes.
Toss a coin to help a family in need.
Scary props for scaring children.
The miners introduced the water of life, but the groundwater is actually deeper, and tourists can only look at it from a distance.
The water of life in the seventh floor of the underground.
Suddenly came to the Lord of the Rings scene, the little thing in front of the dragon is really Gollum (laughs).
Get ready to walk up and back to the cave entrance.
The profile of the mine pit, as time went by, dug deeper and deeper, and finally found the underground water source. It turns out that the mine pit has a total of 9 floors, two floors above the ground and seven floors underground, and is 95 meters deep.
Some wax figures restored the mine mining process at that time, and the little rich man's hatred for Japan has increased a lot during this journey.
Some mine mining explanations, I feel that this area should come from the beginning (laughs).
After the mine is over, head to the wine cellar. There are several small shops in this area. The rich man thinks that if you are not interested in red wine, this part can be omitted.
Lunch
After leaving the Guangming Cave, it was almost time for lunch.
Bought a soup fish plate and a beef sandwich for a total of 13,000 won. It may be because of being cold and hungry, the soup fish board here is what the rich family thinks this timeKorean Family TravelEat the best (laughs).
back to the city
After visiting the Gwangmyeong Cave, the next step is to go back to downtown Seoul to visitSeodaemun Prison, the original plan was to take the subway slowly, but the process was not very smooth, and it took a lot of traffic time, so the return trip was changed to take the 77 bus to Guangming KTX Station and take the high-speed rail to Seoul KTX Station to save some time .
The red building is the resource recovery center of Guangming City, it is very conspicuous! If you get lost on the mountain, go this way.
There are two bus waiting areas, not the one in the picture above, but the semi-circular bus waiting area in the picture below. Don’t go wrong.
The bus will come in less than 10 minutes.
rich man experience
On the whole, the road in Guangming Cave is quite easy to walk, and the route is well planned without repeating the road, but there are many stairs, and some places are dimly lit. Take it into consideration. Even though it is raining, the inside of the cave will not feel wet and the road will not be slippery. It is quite comfortable to walk on. Recommended!
From the "Sunleung" Station of the Seoul Metro Line 2 to the "Gimcheon-gu Office" Station of the Line 1, and then take a taxi, it takes almost one and a half hours one way, which is really a long journey. For details, please refer toKorean public transportationThis article.
