Fort San Pedro is located inCebu portNearby, it was built by the Spanish conquistadors in 1,565 to defend against the attacks of the Filipino natives. It used to be the core of the Spanish colony. It is the smallest and oldest military fort in the Philippines. Fort San Pedro has a total area of 2,025 square meters, with walls about 6 meters high, 2.5 meters thick, and towers about 9 meters high. Chi, is a small fortress facing the sea.
If you come from the Basilica of the Holy Child, you can go directly through Independence Square (the green line in the picture below, you don’t need to go around), and you can walk to Fort San Pedro in about 10 minutes. You can arrange it together on the itinerary.
Photo of the entrance of Fort San Pedro, a very solemn building.
A recent photo of the tower, with the Philippine flag flying above, and mottled marks on the walls, telling the passage of time.
At the ticket office, I really feel the solemn atmosphere of the military castle.
The wall next to the ticket office is hung with the past of Fort San Pedro Castle. At the beginning, the castle was made of wood. With the evolution of time and the advancement of technology, it was finally upgraded to be made of stone, just like the empire of the century (laughs),

The other wall describes the history of the establishment of Cebu.
The exhibition room inside the fort displays the history of the past and the portraits of the leaders.
After leaving the exhibition room, you can walk up the slope to the top of the city wall.

The courtyard in the castle is quite beautiful. In fact, it is rare to see such a green place with tall trees in the center of Cebu. It feels quite relaxing and comfortable to walk here.
Fort San Pedro is a triangle, with one side facing the land and the other two facing the port. The two sides facing the port were defended with artillery, and the front was built with wooden fences. There is a tower at each corner of the fortress, La Concepcion on the southwest, Ignacio de Loyola on the southeast and San Miguel on the north. Fort San Pedro has a total of 14 forts. This number reminds the rich man of its important military position in the past. These forts seem to be relics in the story telling the glory of the past.

The tower is the place where most people take pictures. I even saw a Japanese Gundam fan taking pictures with his Gundam robot. The little rich man immediately took out his car and played on the tower.
Looking at Independence Square from the hole in the tower, there are some street performers in ancient costumes and white round hats at the door taking photos with everyone.
The wealthy family stayed here for about 40 minutes. After the visit, they were going to go to Elizabeth Shopping Center for dinner.

The main entrance of Elizabeth Shopping Center, referred to as E-MALL, faces the main road. The photo of the main entrance was copied from the official website. I entered the mall through the back door that day. After visiting Fort San Pedro, we went to Elizabeth Mall to eat AYER'S LECHON roast suckling pig for dinner.
